NEXUS Design Studio specializes in providing consultancy and support in the field of information technology and design. We work together on uniform solutions that overcome technological and design challenges.

Sehnaz Cenani is the co-founder of NEXUS Design Studio. She is a Visiting Scholar in Information Systems in the Built Environment Research Group at the Department of the Built Environment, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), and an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Medipol University, School of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture. Sehnaz Cenani holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture (ITU), a master`s degree in computational design (ITU), and a PhD in urban systems (TU/e). Her research focuses on digital and smart technologies and the design of decision-support systems that empower vulnerable groups through active participation. She is involved in several international research projects such as EWUU-funded Enhancing Equity for Active Living through Digital Tools (EQUAL) project, NWO-funded Empathic Living Labs for Inclusive Neighbourhoods for Older Adults (ELLI) project, and Istanbul Medipol University Scientific Research Projects Commission funded Exploring the Effect of Virtual Reality Technology on the Spatial Awareness of Architecture and Interior Architecture Undergraduate Students (VISTA) project. She is the co-leader of Working Group3-Technology and Innovation in COST Action CA22167-Participatory Approaches with Older Adults (PAAR-net). 

M. Cagdas Durmazoglu is the co-founder of NEXUS Design Studio and a Lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University, School of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture. He holds a BArch, as well as an MSc and PhD in Architectural Design Computing (ITU). His work explores computation in architectural design, and decision support systems. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction with a specific emphasis on XR technologies and the implementation of data-driven methods to foster resilient, cross-disciplinary design processes in urban and architectural domains. He is involved in international research projects such as EWUU-funded Enhancing Equity for Active Living through Digital Tools (EQUAL) project and Istanbul Medipol University Scientific Research Projects Commission funded Exploring the Effect of Virtual Reality Technology on the Spatial Awareness of Architecture and Interior Architecture Undergraduate Students (VISTA) project.
